Lena met her husband James in the very same neighborhood where she grew up. James' relatives lived across the street from Lena's family, which is how they met. Lena and James married on July 2, 1938 at Holy Rosary Church. With the birth of their first daughter, Mariann in 1941, Lena left work to stay home and proudly raise her family. Once her second daughter Elaine had entered school, Lena returned to work at Fasco as an assembler. She later retired from Fasco after 20 years of service. Lena's favorite special events were her family members' birthdays as well as the Christmas holiday. Lena liked to listen to different types of music and she often attended plays at the Auditorium Theatre for entertainment. Lena also loved to travel. She vacationed to Florida, Nashville, Arizona, Disney World and took trips to the casino. Lena enjoyed many hobbies, such as cooking, knitting, crocheting, tatting and gardening. Lena was known to be easy going, ready to help others, reliable, traditional and her Catholic faith was very important to her. Lena will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
