Back in the 1960s, my father, William L. Downs worked with Leonard at the UofR. He was an Asst Prof. Of Toxicology at the time. My Dad didn’t drive so he caught ride to the Leaches home on Holmes Rd. With Leonard and my Mother, Alice Downs would drive to pick him up from our home off of Dewey Ave. Sometimes I would tag along. I remember Leonard as a kind, happy man at that time and Josephine as generous and kind too. My condolences on your loss.
Len was kind and helpful to this student.. Thank you Len
