We all loved Lenny’s spirit, love and wonderful sense of humor. He was always a presence to my family through difficult times and was always there for us, along with Pia. God Bless him and keep his soul peaceful and happy in heaven.
Dearest Aunt Pia and family Our deepest condolences to you all on the loss of your husband, father and friend. His life as it touched us all, was about love, happiness, joy and boundless laughter. He brought happiness into the room and even a stranger who did not know him would be touched by the loving and joyful energy that he created all around him. He protected fiercely at work and at home. I remember fondly the picture in the local paper of him with a soot covered face carrying a woman out of a burning building just before a backdraft catapulted them…I asked him if this was indeed the inspiration for the poster of the movie Backdraft and he smiled as he always did with those wide open, loving, childlike eyes and I hugged him. His hugs were like a warm blanket that warmed you all over. RIP Uncle Lenny you had a beautiful life and you leave behind so many, many of us that will always have fond meories to remember you by.
