Margaret C. Minchella

GREECE – Passed peacefully on December 7, 2017 at age 86. Marge is predeceased by her husband, Anthony; son, Martin. She is survived by her children, Steve (Carol) Minchella, Toni Lynn (Bob) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Candy (Dan Smialek) Minchella; grandchildren, Renee (Joseph), Niles, Melissa (Brandon) Fitch, Jonathan (Andrea) Minchella, Kristine (Mastin) Jones, Rob (Rachel) Johnson, Kimberly (Alex) Chesko; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ralph Minchella; sister-in-law, Frieda Minchella, nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born on September 26, 1931 in Kirkwood, NY, the oldest child of Basil and Francis Mellick. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony, and son, Martin. She married her high school sweetheart, Anthony, on July 16th, 1949 in Rochester, NY where they settled to raise a family. Margaret was a stay-at-home Mom until the children, Martin, Steven, and Toni Lynn, were older. She pursued a career in book keeping and accounting and worked at several companies in Rochester.

Marge and Tony retired and relocated to Florida where they were both active officers in the Englewood Elks and Does organizations. Marge was also involved in the Humane Society and Meals on Wheels. Her true loves were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marge was an avid reader and loved both mysteries and autobiographies.

As proof of Marge’s love for Tony, she passed peacefully, 5 years to the day of his death, on Dec 7th, 2017.

No prior visitation. Marge’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 23, 11:00 AM at New Testament Christian Church, 349 North Avenue, (Greece) 14626. Interment at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN. 38105, in Marge’s memory.
