Midge and Warren….Both such wonderful people that we were privileged to know. John and Warren hit it off right away, having met at one of Edna Reardon’s parties, and shared their Navy stories. I always looked up to Midge and with her many talents. One Christmas, when I was directer of MOS choir, Midge an I collaberated on music and tableaux for the Midnight Mass celebration. Midge did all the costumes and directed the tableaux part, and it was a beautiful and standout tribute to our Lord’s birthday celebration. Ahhhhh! Sweet days to remember! It was only very recently that I found Midge was living about a half mile away at Fleming Point. Unfortunatly, I was unable to visit her, nor attend the wake or funeral. Just too difficult these days with such trouble physcally getting around. I will definitely send a contribution to her mission.
Aunt Midge was one classy lady… I don’t think she ever took no as an answer..she was always a joy to be around … I remember many letters that she wrote me telling me all the good news about what was going on with the family.. and talking to her on phone..of course she was one busy lady and was hard to catch her at home.. I remember when my mom (her sister Helen) passed away I had mentioned that I had a wall photo of her dad (my grandfather) as asked if she would like it.. she said yes and had wondered where it went.. I was happy to give it to her.. Aunt Midge you will be greatly missed… may you rest in peace with your parents and brothers and sisters.. I’m sure they were happy to see you and Uncle Warren too…
TO THE FAMILY OF ONE OF THE BEST RESIDENTS WE’VE EVER HAD. MIDGE WAS A TRUE PART OF OUR FAMILY AND WE WILL MISS HER VERY MUCH. THANK YOU FOR SHARING HER WITH US FOR THIS PAST YEAR. IN GETTING TO KNOW HER FAMILY I CAN SEE THAT HER LEGACY WILL BE UPHELD. YOU GUYS ARE ALL A TRUE INSPIRATION TO WHAT CARING IS ALL ABOUT. ALTHOUGH WE CAN’T BE THERE WITH YOU ON THURSDAY WE WILL BE THERE WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.
I was the vice principal at Athena HS who was honored to have Midge as my secretary. Together we made a great team! She was stern with students when necessary and gave hugs whenever they were needed! Although she retired in 1984 we have been in contact regularly since then. When the Class of 1980 invited us to their 30th reunion we attended the event together. I have valued her friendship and thanked her many times for being a great role model for aging with grace and compassion, She will be missed by many who crossed her path. I am thankful to have known her, her husband and family.

With much love and respect to Midge and Warren…
