  3. Maria was like a second mother to me growing up. I spent countless weekends being her “blonde” daughter, surrounded by the love and warmth she brought into everything she did. She had a rare gift for making people feel loved, cared for, and valued.
Maria was endlessly thoughtful, deeply compassionate, and truly cherished her family. She carried a constant stream of positivity that touched everyone lucky enough to know her.
My heart is heavy knowing she’s no longer here, but I am so grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

  4. Living next door to the Provenzano’s, I spent countless hours of my growing up years at their home. Maria was a remarkable woman. Her family was what she cherished most. She was always cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, baking, canning or sewing; she was such a hard worker. John grew the vegetables in his bountiful garden and Maria used them to cook remarkably delicious meals every night for her family. The smells coming from her kitchen were heavenly whether she was making sauce, her homemade pizza or the Italian biscuits that were always in the cookie jar. When Maria faced issues with her health over the years, she never slowed down, she was a warrior, she fought with such resilience and strength, something that I admired in her greatly. Thank you, Maria for being such an unbelievably generous, caring & positive presence throughout my childhood and in some of my fondest memories. May you gain the well deserved rest that you so richly deserve. My deepest condolences to Joanna, Phil, Joe and their families during this difficult time. One thing that I know for sure & for certain is that your mother will watch over you and your children from above in the same loving, kind, caring way that she did throughout her life. My deepest thoughts, prayers & sympathies to you all! ❤️
