Dear Joannie,Chuck and Girls…Marie was a lovely and very pretty lady. I remember the first time I visited the infamous ROMEYN ST.where it seemed like everyone in Rochester had their beginnings. Going over to the Bertino home next door to the Tantalo/Antonucci home,I felt quite welcomed not only by Joannie who was our friend but by Marie, Joe, Carl, Uncle Lou, Priscilla, Aunt Carm and a host of others and that was just for “COFFEE AND”. This was an indoctrination of sorts to Romeyn St.; a street like no other where friends were family for life, a street that had its own theme song..”We’re the kids from Romeyn St.,…..”. If life could have emulated that time of happiness and innocence then we would all be living in perfection. Now Joe, Anna,Dom, Gram Teresa, Mary, Villa, Josephine,Casey,the Lingesso’s, the Ferlisi’s, and even Joannie Rivaldo, Mary Jane and Teddy, surely reside on a golden ROMEYN BLVD IN HEAVEN and welcomed Marie HOME forever. I have many good memories of Marie over the years going back to Romeyn Street. She always had a warm smile and that’s how I will remember her. Blessings to all her family and friends.
