Marie was born August 16, 1925 in Rochester, NY. As a child, she was always proud of her Italian heritage. She received her Bachelor's Degree and became a Registered Nurse. Marie met her future husband on stage when they were both young actors. Married for 63 years, they raised their family in Rochester. After her 4 children were grown, she worked as a substitute school nurse and ended up working full-time for the school district. She loved taking care of the kids.
Marie enjoyed acting with the Community Players and was very proud to have been an RN. Her husband was the love of her life! She was a nurturing mother who loved to care for her children, and was always warm, kind, and welcoming to her children's friends. She also loved the family dog, Heidi.
Some of Marie's favorite times included days spent at Keuka Lake where she tended her gardens and her home, going to Vermont for ski trips, and any time that she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also considered her Wedding day as one of the greatest of all events.
Marie always liked cooking and caring for people. She was often heard saying "treat others the way you want to be treated" and "Bill, what's the word I was thinking?". Marie enjoyed Broadway tunes and her favorite holiday song was "The Christmas Song" (chestnuts roasting on a open fire...)
Family and friends would describe Marie as someone who was amazingly warm, kind, and empathetic. A woman who would care for complete strangers if need be. For Marie, it was always all about being kind. She will be greatly missed.
