  1. Theresa and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

  2. I was the little rug rat that always wanted to be withmy aunts and uncles and their friends, which most of the time (believe it or not) they spoiled me and took me under their wings all being so young whn I was born. I a one of the lucky cousins that got to know and whom remebers the good old days on Undine Street, and generation after generation remain ther, I myself bought a house there. Mark was alwas fun loving and so easy going, quick with a joke and always with a smile. I feel for everyone in his life’s loss. May God heal your hearts…Never goodbye, until we meet again…

  14. There was nothing like a quick conversation with Mark to brighten up my day. Though we worked together from a distance, we formed quite the “work relationship”. I will miss his laugh and our pet name game. There will always be a void in my day without you Mark. Rest in peace, until we meet again.

  15. One of my favorite memories of my brother-in-law Mark is that of the time he took me along to go duck hunting. It involved getting up very early on a cold day to go to a wet place, and it’s the only time I ever went duck hunting. But it was great to see Mark in his element: wide awake and ready to go, strong, and capable. Easy-going, laughing, and enjoying himself.

Mark modeled some things for me about being a man and a father. He was dedicated to his family, solid, and reliable. He seemed very good at taking things in stride and not getting hung up on unimportant little details.

He did not appear to be a “touchy-feely” guy, but his actions day-in and day-out showed that he was a bighearted and loving man.

The world needs more guys like Mark, and like the rest of you I am sad to see him go so soon.

Blessings to you Mark. You are loved and will be missed.

Blessings, Theresa, Alyssa, Katie and Nathan. Mark lives on in you and will live on in the little ones yet to come

  16. Theresa, Alyssa, Katie, and Nathan…..we hope the happy memories you have with Mark help you through this most difficult time. He will be missed.

  20. Theresa my heart goes out to you and the family, Mark will be missed by all of us. I want to share a quote with you that I received from a friend when my dad passed. “When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure, and what a wonderful treasure you have.” RIP Mark you will always be remembered for the fun and laughs we all shared.

  21. Thoughts and prayers to all of you at this time. We will miss him so very much! A one of a kind boss and friend.

  22. I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was blessed to have such a supportive and loving family. May the love and support of family and friends sustain you now through this difficult time.

  23. We were so fortunate to get to become friends with Mark/Teresa and family. It breaks our heart to hear of Mark’s loss to cancer. There are many memories that we will always hold close to our hearts. So glad we were able to see him in late May when we returned to town!! Rest in peace Mark! Teresa and family, we are thinking of you and know that you will find comfort in your memories and the love and support you will receive from family and friends!

  24. Dear Theresa and kids, I am so sorry for your loss. When first hearing of Mark’s illness, I have been praying consistently for him and your family. You are in the prayers and thoughts of many. Nancy

  25. I first met Mark in the spring of 1991. I was 7 years old and Alyssa had invited me to the house to swim in their pool. Little did I know, that was the start of a family friendship that would last forever (over 20 years and still running). Some of my first memories of Mark are in their backyard pool (which no longer exists). I remember thinking how cool Alyssa’s dad was…he would dive into the pool by jumping over the side from the deck. All of the kids gravitated towards him because we always wanted him to throw us as high as he could into the water. Or he would go under water and have us stand on his shoulders; then he’d stand up really fast and launch us into the air. I remember doing it over and over again… he was always a good sport about it. From my earliest memories, I remember Mark being so happy around the 5 of us. Taking us to Godfrey’s Pond to swim and fish, trips to Stoney Brook, camping at Hamlin Beach…Mark loved taking us on outdoor adventures.

When Alyssa and I started Gates Rec softball together, Mark and dad decided to be our coaches. We weren’t their biggest fans most of the time…we wanted to win, they wanted “everyone to play”. We didn’t think they were great coaches, but that wasn’t the point. Mark was dedicated to being involved with his kids activities: softball for Alyssa, Trailblazers with Katherine, and hockey with Nathan.

I always enjoyed our Friday night “Pizza/Soda” nights with the Annellos. Mark and dad always beat mom and Theresa at euchre but I’m convinced they were just much better at cheating…the wine may have also had an affect on mom and Theresa’s card-playing abilities.

I don’t remember when Mark started calling me “KB Toys” but it became his nickname for me and even though he hadn’t called me that since probably high school, I can still hear it when I walk through the front door of the Annello house.

One of my favorite things about Mark was his friendship with dad. They became quick friends when they found out they had similar interests…fishing, hunting, boating, and their kids. Mark taught dad how to deer hunt and dad taught Mark how to duck hunt. When they weren’t hunting, they were fishing on one of the Finger Lakes, fishing on Oatka Creek, or spotting deer at night in one of their trucks. Mark and dad’s relationship was a special one. They were constantly together and dad will always cherish the time they spent together.

Mark will always be with us and his life will continue to be celebrated by those who knew him. His contagious laugh and lively spirit will forever be remembered.

Rest in peace, Mark. You will be missed but your spirit will live on in all of us.

  26. Rest in Peace Mark ~ Thoughts and Prayers to the entire family…Our hearts are sad, but the memories make us smile. May heaven enjoy Mark and the tailgates as much as we all did! Soar with the EAGLES! We are blessed to have shared so many great times as a hockey family and it was not always about the kids!

  27. You were such an amazing influence while on this earth that God needed your help in heaven. Now your able to look after your family from heaven as well. You will truly be missed.

  28. So sorry to hear about Mark everyone! Sending hugs and sympathy as you move through this very difficult time.

  29. My heart hurts for you, Theresa, and your family. May you all find comfort knowing that you are a loving and wonderful family. God bless you all.
