troy mckissock Relation to Deceased: friend god speed my brother till we meet again my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

Mark Knowles Relation to Deceased: Cousin This poem so fits the life of Mark Metzger. Mark you never took the easy way out. You fought till the bitter end! You always took the road less traveled! I will always look up to you and try to live my life much like yours! Love you man! The Road Not Taken Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, lon I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair. And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear. Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay. In leave so step had trodden black Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh. Somewhere ages and ages hence; Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Robert Lee Frost The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips
Kathy J Johnson Relation to Deceased: friend Mark & I worked together several yrs ago at Kodak. He was such a positive guy with a great sense of humor. Though i sensed he was struggling with his illness from day to day, he never wanted sympathy..he would turn his struggle around into laughter..his “medicine” was making others laugh & was a joy to be around.! We shared many laughs together…Godspeed Mark…You will be missed.. The celebration of life, shared in the beginning, and again, in the end. Yet we forget to celebrate it, in every moment we live. Time, days, years, go on, but are we alive? Alive and do not know it, sleeping in the world and dead to the life we are to live. To celebrate all life, the sparrow who sang in the morning, and died in the night, why do we not celebrate its life? To know thyself is to know you are alive – to give, to love, to seek truth, beauty, and suffer pain. In life as it is meant to be, pain is forgotten, and strength is all that’s left to be gained in the moment by moment celebration of life. By Deborah Peabody

Kathy (Rector) Trimmer Relation to Deceased: Friend I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know the Metzger family. Our Parents have been friends for years and I am privileged to say that Dolores is my God Mother. Meeting up with Mark at a party when we were approx. 15 was interesting to say the least. It was a hot summer day and Mark had no shirt on. Mark must have felt some stares from the other kids due to some scarring he had. Instead of putting his shirt back on, I was able to listen in as Mark told a group of kids how he had been attacked by a shark! Mind you we lived in Rochester NY and although there are a lot of things in the water at the beach I am pretty sure there has never been a shark. Thirty some years later that day still makes me laugh. Only Mark could tell a story like that and have people believe him. Rest in peace Mark, you will be missed. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing
