To Marlie’s loving family,
I had the privilege of meeting your Mother and Father and Uncle Pete when your Mother spoke at the Glen Haven School in Homer in 2013. She shared her compelling story with us, and I was spellbound.
I send you all my heartfelt condolences. May their memories be a blessing
To our sweet Aunt Marlies what a privilege to have you in our lives. You were the bell of the ball with your wit and charm. I loved sitting with you while you told your stories with such passion. You were a true blessing and will be dearly missed but what a legacy you leave behind.
Time is something we never have enough of when we have to say goodbye, rest in peace.
Love you Deb
Dear DiFante family, So very sorry for your loss of such a wonderful woman. Being in her company always felt special. Your mom and dad were a great team and now, the team is together again. Rest in eternal peace, Marlies.
Dearest Kathy, Tony, David & Tom and the rest of your big beautiful family.
Our hearts are broken since we heard the news of you mom’s passing tonight. She was such a wonderful, strong, witty, fun and holy woman. I met her years ago at Christ The King Church when we both went to daily mass. She was such a gift to me because she taught me so much about our Catholic faith. We would talk a long time after mass every day.
We became close friends and introduced our husbands to each other. We instantly fell in love with Dom and the four of us became the best of friends. I (we) will always cherish our beautiful memories with them. I’m happy for your parents that they are finally together again but so sad for all of us that loved her. They were an inspiration in so many ways and had a marriage that many would envy. They were both so easy to love and I’m so happy God put them in our lives. May God give you all strength as you mourn your amazing mom.
Rest In Heavenly Peace Marlies
you earned it. Give Dom a big kiss from us. I hope you both knew how very much we loved the two of you. You’re forever in our hearts and we look forward to the day we see you again.
With Our Deepest Sympathy Love and Prayers,

Aunt Marlies, words cannot express the love, admiration and respect that I’ve always had for you! I loved reading your book because I can hear your voice and see your smiling face on every page. I had a hard time putting it down because of that reason. Even though we were 1250 miles away, I thought of you more times than you know. This is a temporary goodbye, I will see you in heaven!!! Love you much, your nephew. ❤️🌹♥️
By pure luck I met you through your son Tom. I read your book in one day and knew that you were a very special person. I’ve never met anyone as wonderful as you. I know that God put you here for a reason and the thousands of people who have read your story or heard you speak are much better because of you. I will never forget you.
PS
I know you helped me catch that cat last night! He is fine and we will take good care of him.
You are a wonder friend and she loved you pu Melissa. Thanks for giving her the platform to tell her story and for taking Milie under you wing. She would be so happy her friend is in a good place too.
