Marty was my cousin-his dad Tommy and my dad Nate were brothers- and a great guy. Even though he was 11 years older than me, at our many family gatherings he was always kind and took the time to see how his younger cousins were doing – never pushy, mean or bossy ’cause he was the oldest.
In our adult life I moved out of state and didn’t see him as much but when I did he would always share a joke or crazy story from his latest adventures … it was a pleasure to talk w/ Marty. And he could really play the Hammond B3 … I’m sure he’s playing it now.
My Condolences to Mia, Toby, Tommy, Chris, Barclay and Lisa … he’s gone too soon, too young.
To the family of Marty I am so sorry for your loss. A long time friend goin and will be missed. Our prayers are with you. He is in a better place now and playing his music for God. There are no words you can say when a love one leaves this earth. But remember he is your angel looking down on you. Rest in Peace Marty I will miss you. You were truly a good friend. Love your Friend Karen,Joey, Crystal and Harley Baker. Forever in our hearts. We light this candle in honor of your memory.
As I sat and read the paper today I saw a very dear friend had passed away. It was a sad way to find out a friend you have known since you were 16 had passed away. Marty and I had been friends since school. We went to Gates Chili HS, he was my first boyfriend in school. Marty always wanted to be musician he loved music. He had a great sense of humor. I worked with Marty for a few years at Kodak and also his music world. I booked him into many clubs. He enjoyed playing. He also had his side kicks Danny the Duck and as years went by there were other characters. He was always there for me. I didn’t know Marty was ill the last few months and am so sorry I didn’t get a chance to say good bye. We shared many years of fun and memories. Marty, his brother Toby and myself shared many fun times together. Marty was well liked. He will be missed. He was a good friend. I will never forget when his grandma gave him his first guitar he was so excited just wanted to go on the road and become a musician. He did. Our families shared many good times through high school and beyond. He also loved my grandchildren. He gave my grandson a poster of Star Wars which he still has hanging in his room. RIP Marty will miss you.
