Mary Lois was born on June 21, 1913 to Carl and Louise. She completed 1 year at Nazareth Academy and 3 years at West High School, where she graduated. Her quote in the high school year book was "carefree, but she has her moments". This was true to the end.
She married her high school sweetheart, Jimmy Caverly and they raised 6 children. She also has 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mary Lois enjoyed spending summers at Conesus Lake, Lakeville and running a hot dog stand. She took trips to Florida with her husband. After his passing, she went on senior citizen trips and on a cruise, she got her ears pierced, spent time at her friend's cottage, and went out on the party boat. She also became a dedicated volunteer and attended the LPGA.
Some of her favorite activities were doing crafts, making handmade ornaments for the children and grandchildren, and she loved to knit and crochet. Some of her favorite things were watching sports programs, her favorite shoes, Lawrence Welk, General Hospital, Coach, and listening to the rosary on the radio with Fr. Cherinchoni. She loved to play solitare, dominos, and board games.
People who knew Mary Lois would best describe her as a reserved, kind, polite, gentle woman who never said an unkind word about anyone. She never interfered in others lives - she gave her children their wings. Her family was most important to her.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
