Mary M. (Kress) Laurer
Mary entered her eternal home on September 18, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis A Laurer; parents, George and Edna Kress; brothers, George and Paul; sisters, Edna Bringley, Monica Lee, and Kathleen Moore.
Mary is survived by her children, Joseph (Lily) Laurer, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Cole, David (Shannon) Laurer; grandchildren, Lauren (Demario) Watts, Jeremy Laurer, Courtney (Matt) Sherrill; great-grandsons, Holden and Griffin Sherrill, Rowen and Caleb Watts; daughter-in-law, Laura Heintz Laurer; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Laurer.
Mary is also survived by her Kress siblings, James (Marilyn), John, Joan Wirth, Thomas, David (Beverly), Michael (Bonnie), and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mary was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Nurse, Friend; a woman of deep faith, strong hope and undying love expressed in selfless service.
Mary’s family would like to thank her care providers for their dedication and compassion throughout this difficult chapter in Mary’s life. Mary will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved her.
Mary’s family will honor her life during visitation on Thursday, September 25th from 11-12 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626, immediately followed by her service at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to a cause dear to Mary’s heart: Nazareth Elementary School, Attn: Amy Rist, 311 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615.
