As friends and as members of your Family in Blue, we share in your loss, and can only pray for all of you now. I recite the Divine Mercy and Rosary Daily and include you all in those prayers. I heard of your loss on Sunday morning and asked our Priest to remember Matt at Mass. He said he would, and would also pray for all of you as well. Mike, thanks for taking care of all of us who worked with you and for you, we always knew we were coming home when you were at any scene with us. God Bless You! Kevin Bush When I was growing up I used to follow you and the BHS wrestling team religiously. Then, when it was my turn to wrestle for Brockport, it was very special to be coached by some of the guys I grew up admiring. Most importantly, I will never forget how you believed in me and pushed me to be the very best that I could be. So rest easy Coach and smile down on the mats. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

John Torregrossa Relation to Deceased: RDG Matt You will be missed you were a true friend As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering ….. Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ….. To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We’re thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us.
John F. Jacobs Family Relation to Deceased: Friend of family Dear Mike, Linda and all family members, We are astonished at how fast our children grow, yet only really become adults to the rest of the world. As parents and grandparents, they somehow always remain… our babies. Our sadness, not only as parents but as friends, is very heavy. To try and imagine, what you are going through is overwhelming; to experience is beyond comprehension. As I think of all of you, I cannot help be get teary, because we have a four daughters, one of whom is only 1 year younger than Matt. My wife and I have four grandchildren and can feel the loss at that level as well. I recall when Linda was pregnant and it seems as if there is no way it could have been that long ago. Mike, we shared a lot when we worked together in CTP-C, Genesee, Tactical, and later Highland Section. Knowing you as the man you are, you and Linda raised a wonderful man. You were an inspiration to me in those days as was your Father when I spent some time in R&E. Brian Barnatones Relation to Deceased: Athena High School Wrestling I hadn’t seen or spoken to Coach Leach in years, it amazes me how much his death has impacted me. I am extremely grateful for all the funny moments I had with you and the extra time you took to mentor me not only with wrestling, but also with life. It is unfortunate I never told Coach, face to face, how much I appreciate him. Thank you for everything Coach, and even though I often went “two and a barbecue” at wrestling tournaments, I will be sure to be the best I can be in every other possible way.
