Susan DiAngelo Lee & David, My sincerest sympathies to you and your family as you mourn the passing of your mother. The beautiful memorial you posted here in pictures provides a snapshot of the beautiful woman she was, the life she lived and the love she shared which is carried on by you all. I pray the Lord’s comfort for each of you as you mourn this remarkable woman. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips
Marcia J Wilcox-Carr Relation to Deceased: Long time friend Don’t Cry for Me Don’t cry for me when I am gone, We’ll meet again before too long, Don’t worry that I’m all alone I’ve just gone back to my Father’s home, Be Happy for me, and do not cry, To get back to Heaven, I had to die, I’ll be with my loved ones, who’ve passed before me, The one’s that I’ve missed, and have longer to see, Don’t cry for me because I am gone I’ll be waiting for you, but for now be strong And when the day comes, when you are called home Just know that you won’t be alone For I will be there, Just waiting to see, The people that mean the most to me, Marcia Wilcox-Carr I am so sorry for your loss, she was such a great woman. I can only imagine what a wonderful reunion she is having with your dad, her father, mother, and those who have passed on before her.
Linda M Earl (Haasis) Relation to Deceased: Godchild I have such fond memories of when I was young. My parents and I would visit every holiday. I remember I would sometimes bring a chocolate pie or when I would arrive at Easter time there was always a Chocolate Bunny waiting just for me. Mrs Schiefer was always so kind and cheerful. I also remember legioin field picnic. When we would get together with Mrs. Schiefer and kids. Our dad’s work the same kodak shift and we would have a big picnic. It may have been peanut butter and jelly but we didn’t care we just had fun. There are many more great memories that I will always treasure. My prayers are will you all at this time. Your mom was deeply loved by many and has left a piece of her with everyone she touch. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing
Donna L Willison Relation to Deceased: Neighbor/Friend The Desmond Road neighborhood was unique. It was unique because of the people that made it up. One of those people whose quiet manner and friendly personality added to our special neighborhood was Maureen Schiefer. She and my mother were close friends…ever since they moved in about 1951. They raised their children together. Maureen was always friendly and loved to stop and talk with the neighbors. She and my mother would enjoy a “wee spot of tea” after the children left for school. Their visits could extend to 2-3 hours. Maureen lived a long productive life. The life she led was exemplar to anyone. There are few people who really touch other people’s lives and Maureen was one of those people by her words and more importantly her actions. We celebrate her life and I know she is with her loved ones beyond the veil. They are enjoying their reunion.
