GREECE - January 16, 2021. At 96 years young, Michael is predeceased by his wife, Mary J. Perri; parents, Antonio Rose; sister, Sera Perri. He is survived by his daughters, Janice Perri, Jeanne (Kevin Vicalvi) Perri Jennifer (Sam) Favata; brothers-in-law, Tony DeLucia, Sam (Jeanne) DeLucia; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Earl) Karch Nancy (David) May; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Michael dedicated his life to helping others. After retiring from Eastman Kodak in 1983, his love for people led him to become a lifelong volunteer, selflessly giving many hours to the YMCA, the Red Cross and to St. John's Home mainly as the Friday afternoon Ice Cream Man. As a World War II veteran, Michael also volunteered for Honor Flight Rochester. A devout Catholic, Michael was President of Commandery #308 of the Knights of St. John and head usher for Our Mother of Sorrows Church for over 50 years. He was the last surviving member of the Twelve Apostles, a group of friends who had grown up together on the East side of Rochester during the depression. Michael dedicated his life to kindness and love both to his family and to anyone he had the pleasure of meeting.
Per NYS regulations, guests are required to wear a mask and hand sanitize at the funeral home and church.
Michael's life will be celebrated at his visitation, 2-5PM on Friday, January 22nd at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd, 10:30AM on Saturday. Mass will also be viewable by clicking here
