  1. Theresa (Lisi) Rossettie Relation to Deceased: niece I remember all the times Aunt Mitzi and Uncle Pete would have me over for a home cooked dinner while I worked in Rochester. I always enjoyed coming over there and having Uncle Pete say “my favorit niece Theresa” May you rest in peace, you are now an angel above. Love Theresa The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  2. John Cartella Relation to Deceased: Nephew I have many fond memories of Uncle Pete. From my earliest days,I looked forward to seeing him when he visited relatives and friends in Hornell. Years later, he was instrumental in my move to Rochester. He helped me to find an apartment; he also gave me advice on where to open a bank account. Before I moved to Rochester, he coordinated various issues with the moving company. Without his help, the move would have been diffucult. Uncle Pete and I talked about investments on numerous occasions. I remember once asking him about a particular mutual fund I had purchased. He told me that he had already sold that fund, and he told me why he had sold it. Years later I ended up selling the fund at a loss. I knew at that time that I should have listened to Uncle Pete. I wish to express my sympathy to Aunt Mitzi and to cousins Mary, Peter, Phyllis, and Frances. We have lost a kind and generous man, but we will always have good memories of him. 3. Fran J Blake Relation to Deceased: First Cousin and God-Son Always known to me as “Uncle Pete” I was always so happy to see him along with Aunt Mitzi and their fantastic family. I was and will always be his God-Son, He was always so kind to me and even more so later in our lives with my three children. “Uncle Pete” has a special place in my heart, I’ll always remember him and pray for him always! Rest in Peace! The celebration of life, shared in the beginning, and again, in the end. Yet we forget to celebrate it, in every moment we live. Time, days, years, go on, but are we alive? Alive and do not know it, sleeping in the world and dead to the life we are to live. To celebrate all life, the sparrow who sang in the morning, and died in the night, why do we not celebrate its life? To know thyself is to know you are alive – to give, to love, to seek truth, beauty, and suffer pain. In life as it is meant to be, pain is forgotten, and strength is all that’s left to be gained in the moment by moment celebration of life. By Deborah Peabody
