Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bagley III Relation to Deceased: Daughter in Laws sister and family Mr. DeGrandis will be well missed. We will always cherish his laughter. He always had a good story to tell, and was a great listener as well. Most of the time we just would forget what we were talking about and end up in laughter, it was contagious. Our lives were blessed by knowing him. We will never forget our great memories together. He leaves a legacy of gifted children and grandchildren. Christine, Samantha, Ethan and to the entire DeGrandis Family I extend my deepest condolences. I worked with Phil on many projects at FUJIFILM and he was always the consummate professional. I know you are all surrounded by the love of your family and friends and hope this will help you through this time of loss.
My deepest condolences to Christine, Samantha, Ethan and all of Phil’s family. I want to document an experience with Phil that I believe reinforces his nature of selfless compassion and being there for others. I was a co-worker with Phil at Fujifilm. One morning I was feeling a little strange and felt “pressure” in mt chest. Having a family history of heart disease, I felt it was wise to not take any chances and told the facilities manager what was going on.
When the ambulance arrived, Phil was there and asked for my wife’s number so he could call her (in all the commotion I hadn’t remembered to do that). Then he told me he was going to follow the ambulance to Strong. While driving, he continually tried my wife’s number until she finally answered (she didn’t recognize Phil’s number). My wife had previously met Phil, so when she answered he said ” Hi Tina, this is Phil. Gary’s fine but being transported to Strong. I’m on my way there also and will met you there”. He was able to alert my wife about what was going on without unduly alarming her.
I arrived at the hospital and was taken to an examining room. Next thing i know, in walks Phil. He told me that he had gotten a hold of Tina and she was on the way also. I thanked him and told him he needn’t stay any longer, but he insisted on staying until Tina arrived. He remained there with us until a doctor arrived, just chatting casually and jokingly in a way that made as both feel more comfortable and relaxed!
To me, this epitomizes his caring and selfless nature. He was a great man will will be greatly missed!
I am truly sorry for your loss. Phil and I finished our last 5K run together for Fujifilm and crossed the finish line in good spirits. From the time I met him, he was always a true gentleman and a kind person. He will be greatly missed!
– With heavy heart
I never had a chance to meet Philip, but he sounds like a wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss, if there is anything you need do not hesitate to ask. You are in our thoughts!
My deepest sympathies, May god rest his soul
I am glad that I was able to get to know some of PJ! I enjoyed my time with him every time that I was with him. My belief is that he is at peace. Always love to all of his family ❤️
Please accept my deepest condolences. Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. The whole Fuji Canada Team will miss him. May his soul rest in love and peace.
My sincere condolences to the DeGrandis family. Philip was a great colleague and always offered to lend a helping hand, he will be missed by the entire Fuji Canada team.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Philip’s family at this time. Phil’s sweet smile and kind demeanor will always be remembered.
My sincere condolences for your loss. I worked with Phil at Fujifilm for many years and he put a light in everyone’s life. He really was very kind, so helpful as to not simply do something for you but help you understand WHY and HOW it mattered. So very smart. Then he’d just turn on his electric smile and make us all laugh. Our hearts ache for his loss.
My heart-felt condolences to Christine, Samantha and Ethan. I really loved Phil and will miss him dearly. He always was there to lend a helping hand. Fuji was a better place with Phil in it and I was honored to know him.
I’m so glad that although we no longer worked together, we kept in touch all these years. Oh how I will remember that unforgettable laugh, twinkle in his eye and the gentle soul who was all about making people happy. This all doesn’t make any sense and hard to figure out why this happened…but I know he would want us to embrace the good times and hug each other a little tighter and enjoy the small things. I will miss you, friend. Our deepest condolences to his beautiful family and cherished friends.
I started out working for Phil at FujiFilm. After 2 months of working in his group, he called me into his office and I thought I was going to be fired. Instead, he informed me that he felt I would not be challenged enough in his group, and he knew of another opening, and indicated he thought it would be a better fit. I remained in that position for 4.5 years til I was recently informed that due to budget cuts, the position had ended.
I have encountered many of the coworkers in the last 4 months, but Phil is the one person who stopped and expressed sympathy and wondered how I was doing. I had opted to retire, however, he still wanted to offer his sympathies. Phil’s fondest stories were of he and his family. As busy as he was, he wanted to put more life in his life.
My deepest sympathies. I will always remember Phil’s integrity and devotion to his family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Phil on several projects at Fujifilm and he always had such wonderful things to say about his family. He was so proud of his children and had such high praise for his wife. He will be missed but certainly not forgotten.
Words cannot truly express,

We are so saddened to hear of Phil’s passing. We share in your grief and hold you in our prayers for healing as you move through these difficult moments ahead. Take comfort in everyone’s memories of him. He truly was an amazing person; always going above and beyond to help in any way he could. He was always positive when Grant came off the ice from a game and he caught the most incredible moments with his camera. Please know we are here for you.
So sorry for your loss, Christine and family. Hope you feel surrounded by much love.
We are so very sorry to hear of PJ’s passing. We grew up across the street from each other on Frear Drive. PJ was always such a kind and gracious soul.
