  1. Paula and Matthew, Thinking of you and your family. ~ With love, Andy, Cathi, Jake and Brianna

  2. To the D’Angelo Family, I was so sad to hear of Uncle Per’s passing. He was a man of so much love for family and friends and he had the ability to always make you laugh…I will miss him. Christmas Eve will never be the same without his little gifts(sometimes humorous). Rest In Peace, Uncle Per ❤️🤗

  3. Patty, Mark, and Paula:

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful man I called “Uncle Per.” He was so kind to me and my family for as long as I knew him. The arrival of his Christmas card each year was a highlight in the Mattia household. His impeccable wit jumped off a greeting card almost as well as it did in person. We are so grateful for the lifetime of friendship he shared with my grandfather. I take solace in knowing they have finally reunited again.

    My sincerest condolences.

    John R. Mattia

  4. To my beautiful cousins, I am so sorry for the loss of our incredible Prisco. Everything is going to be different without him. Him and I had a special bond that I will forever CHERISH. I will miss my conversations with him. I will miss holding his hand. Uncle Per, I will miss you greatly!! I know u had an incredible sight when you reached Heaven, when you saw Aunt Jo, grandma and grandpa, my dad, uncle Sam, aunt Rosemary and aunt Vera. The Heavenly family is now complete. Until we meet again. I love u. Xo ❤️ p

  5. I am so sorry to learn of Prisco’s death, he was a mentor and friend to so many of us “rookies”. I want to express my sympathy and condolences to the whole D’Angelo family, one of a few “blue star” families with many family members in law enforcement. Gary Birkahn, RPD Retired

  6. My condolences to Mark, Lou and other family. Prisco was so funny and energetic. I’ll never forget how he and Mark always showed up at the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge . A great cop and a great human being.

  7. My late father John R. Mattia’s best friend for life… These men had a rare friendship that lapsed for over 70+ yrs. & Uncle Per was the best of the best! What a genuinely sweet, tender & loving man who marched to his own drum! I remember his buttons/pins & am hoping that he & John are reminiscing right now & reunited again in eternity!!! xoxo

  8. He was a good guy to work for. I worked in communications when he was the sergeant in charge in 1971. I always admired his sense of humor.

  9. Prisco was such a great man. Always kidding around. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was like family to us. He will be missed so much. May the lord welcome him in his loving arms.

  10. The Association of Rochester Police and Area Law Enforcement Retirees (ARPALER) sends condolences and prayers to the family of Sgt. D’Angelo, and we salute him for his service to his community. Rest in peace Brother.

  11. To my dear uncle and Godfather, You are loved and will be missed beyond words. Family was everything to you and we are comforted in knowing you are now at peace and reunited with Grandma, Grandpa and your brothers and sisters.

  12. Anyone who knew Uncle Per, knows what an incredibly special man he was. Unique beyond compare. Filled with so much love for his children and grandchildren. He possessed humor that I’m not sure how to describe, but he certainly made us laugh. I will miss that humor, his beautiful smile, his ability to love us all, his back rubs & his special Christmas gifts for the entire family on our Christmas Eves. I love you Unc ❤️ Please give my dad a hug ❤️ Love, Lisa
