My brother and I grew up with Ray. We went to the same school and played baseball together. Ray was probably the kindest person I ever met. He was so easy to talk to and he didn’t have a jealous bone in his body.Even when he knew what was coming in the end he had so much grace. We miss you still Ray and we won’t ever forget you.
You have been in heaven 2 years now, and we still think about you,and miss you so much. Your in our thoughts everyday, and we always think of a story or memory of you. Some make us laugh, some make us cry, but we never forget the person you have been with each and everyone of us. We love and miss you more than words can express. Keep watching over us all, as we kept looking up to you love and miss you ray. The Martinez family
To my favorite patient, I have written this message to you at least 10 times and my words never seem to express what I really feel. What I feel since you’ve become our guardian angel is indescribable. For as long as I can remember you and I started out every day with a positive text message to one another followed by the statement “we got this.” The truth is, I never thought we didn’t “have this” even until 9:37am 12/27/13. I can honestly say with no hesitation that I am a better person because of you. For 12 years you were my favorite brother in law until this past year where you became the most amazing man that I have ever met. I have heard people describe you as the strongest man they ever knew, however I was fortunate enough to see your strength first hand. You went from a man who had a diet that consisted of maybe 20 items that you’d actually eat to a kale, ginger, cashew butter anything organic, alkaline eating machine!!!!!!!! You did it all without any complaints. “Am I going to like this? Just close your eyes & chug it.” I went from being an ICU nurse to a chemist in no time. We really DID IT ALL. You,Tara, Titi, John and I spent endless hours mastering your care to perfection. There is nothing we didn’t do and I would give anything just to have one of those moments back. Thank you for coming into my life, Thank you for your 3 beautiful children, Thank you for loving my sister so much, Thank you for accepting Aidan and I into your family as your own, Thank you for all of the memories and dreams you made come true for us. I will never understand why this had to happen to you, i don’t want to accept loosing you , your irreplaceable in every way. “I love you more than life” love your favorite Nurse.
To the Colon Family, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ramon. He was my supervisor briefly when I worked at NYSEG. He came down from Rochester to a department Christmas party one year and brought 3 types of wings – I would kid him and say we should have a wing competition between Rochester and Binghamton – he was one of the nicest and fairest persons I have ever met. I am very grateful to have known him – a wonderful human being taken too soon. Prayers and sympathy to the family.
Ramon was one of the most gentle, sweet, kind men I have ever met. He had that beautiful smile that could turn your day around. He was a smart business man but also aware of how to treat people so that they wanted to perform well to make him proud. He will be missed by so many. We lost a wonderful human being but I believe he is now free from pain and enjoying the next phase of his existence.
Having recently learned of the loss of your dear loved one, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy. Death is an enemy that Our Creator, never intended for us to ever have to deal with-even as the Bible states. During this very difficult time I would like to share with you the promise stated at John 5:28,29 “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his[Jesus]voice and come out to a resurrection of life..” And at Revelation 21:3,4, it states that there will be a time when “death will be no more.” These Scriptures gives us hope for the future as respects to our dead loved ones. May the promises of Our Creator, bring comfort to your grieving hearts.
Tara, I am so sorry for your loss. You, your children, and entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God bless all you you.
Tara, my dear friend, you are always in my prayers. Seek God for solace and guidance as this road is not an easy one but it is bearable with much faith. Be strong. I love you.
I never had the pleasure to meet you Ray, but growing up with and knowing your mother-in-law (Charity), I know you were a loving husband/father/friend. It is amazing how we are all connected and don’t realize it until a time like this…my son Chris and several of his friends went to school with you at Edison and my son’s brother-in-law worked with you at the RG&E. May you rest in peace and may God give your family strength during this difficult time.
Ray, you left us too soon. I can’t believe what’s going on. It’s so surreal , I just want to wake up and pretend this is one nightmare. It’s a shame what happened but god had other plans for you. May he look over all of your loved ones below. Until we meet againRay K…
Ramon was such a special man. We are thinking of Tara, Maria, Tammy, and the rest of Ramon’s family. We are sending our thoughts, prayers, and love to you all. Joe & Debby
Ray, I will always remember the Sundays when you would come over to watch football with Mark and Joe and I would have spaghetti and sauce for you. You will always have a special place in my heart. I am going to miss you dearly. Love and kisses xoxoxoxox
Ray,
your suffering has ended and now you can rest in peace.Be assured everything will be taken care of down here with your Children and Family.
Our prayers and thoughts will always be with you, we are gratefull for our time together and most importantly you were a great role model/friend to everyone you touched. Love Mike & Annette
Its hard to believe that you have passed on and went to Heaven, how lucky they are to have gained you as a Angel. You fought so hard, and stayed positive through it all. You are an inspiration! It makes me feel better to know you are now resting in peace and out of pain. I know you will be looking down and watching over all of us here on earth. You maybe gone but will never be forgotten. When I think of you I hear your laugh, it was like no other, it makes me smile just thinking about it 🙂 Rest in peace Ray.
Today we would like to use this candle as a symbol of gratitude. Gratitude for each and every memory that was blessed by Ray. Each and every laugh, smile and tear. Those who’ve been fortunate enough to know him can understand what it is to be grateful for times to remember. Not only was he a great father, son, brother, uncle but he was a great human being. As genuine, humble, hardworking and selfless as it gets. His personality and jokes will linger in our memories for a lifetime. Although it is sad and somewhat heartbreaking to know that he is no longer with us it is also heart warming to know his body and soul is painlessly resting above us. Watching our every move laughing at all our missed passes, strike outs and missed catches. Now Ray, you can see clearly past all the pain you were in past all the worries you held in your heart past all the doctors visits and treatments you’ve endured. Now you may watch over us. You are our guardian angel and we look forward to hearing from you through blessings amongst our struggles. Love Tone, Kayla, Lil Tone and Audriana.
I never imagined I would be writing this,to my big brother I never had, ramon, I absolutely adore and cherish you and our friendship/brotherhood.ray,as im crying while im typing this, I just want to let you know I love you so much.we have been brothers for almost 30 yrs.and counting… and that will not change. Ray to the strongest man we know missing you more than words can ever express. Its been two days and already seen like forever. It almost seems impossible to go on without you. But as your friends,/”FAMILY” we will keep you alive in sprit forever. We have now inherited a family, yours and we’ll be there for them no matter what. We love and Miss You So Much
To our beloved Ray may you rest in peace. You will always be in our hearts, along with your wife Tara, and three children. You may not have been blood but, you will always be my family. Love you miss you until we meet again.
Uncle Ray… your role in my life is far greater than the word uncle describes. You were the older brother I never had. You were another father to me. You helped shape me into the man I am today. There is so many things I say and do that are a result of your influence on my life. You have influenced your son little Ray so much already and I plan to continue to mold him exactly the way that you helped mold me. I am going to miss you more than I could ever explain. I love you so much Uncle Ray. I only hope to make you proud in whatever the rest of this life has in store. See you on the other side chump. Love you.
May the family have peace in that the grave is not where we sleep…
Ramon will always be with each of you in the winds that blow,
In the gently falling snow,
In the spring showers of rain,
In the fall fields of ripening grain,
In the beauty of the morning hush,
Through the struggles of life’s daily rush,
In the majestic sight of birds in circling flight,
And in the stars that shine on each of you every night.
In the wonder of nature and flowers that bloom,
In the quiet and solitude of a dark room,
In the birds that sing,
and in each living thing.
May you find peace in that the grave is not where we sleep…
For he is always with you in your hearts to keep.
