My heartfelt sympathy is felt over hearing the loss of Randy. I worked with Randy at Xerox Corporation. He was an extremely hard worker and a pleasure to work with. Randy was a kind and caring man. The loss of Randy will be greatly felt.
My warmest thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I got home from the viewing yesterday and my husband asked “How was it?… other than hard.” I cried as I said “I really loved Randy.” Bonnie and Randy have been family friend of mine since I was 6 years old, my husband has only met them a few times and mostly in passing so he asked, “why’s that, tell me more” and all I could say was “there is no one like Randy, he was unbelievably kind, joyful, and fun to be around.” He cared for everyone he ever met, that was evident yesterday. I remember choosing to spend about an hour at my sister’s wedding reception just to sit and chat with Randy. I will always hold on to special memories of him and will always remember him fondly.
Bonnie, you will continually be in my prayers. It was so wonderful to see how many people you have by your side to love and support you. Randy, rest easy, she is well loved!
Bonnie,
I (and others) were all blessed to know and work with Randy for several years here at AA Tech. We will miss him a lot. He was always kind, trustworthy, reliable, and very precise. I am sorry that I cannot make it to either of the events, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings always.
Randy was always a constant presence in my life. On any given day he might drop by our house for a swim, or a beer, or just to say hi while walking the dog. We could always talk about fantasy football, or joke about him being my 2nd father. As a kid I always knew it was going to be a fun summer evening when Bonnie and Randy came over the house. He was one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, and I always knew I could count on him to be there if I ever needed it. Rest in Peace
As we contemplated what to write about Randy, so much crossed our minds. What a good friend, what a devoted husband/uncle/godfather, what a dependable guy, what a funny guy, what a nice guy, what ………. the list goes on. With all that said, the easy conclusion is that Randy was “that guy” for us and so many others too. His impact upon this world was great to see and be a part of. We take solace in knowing that he left his imprint on so many and made this crazy world a better place. In times of great disagreement for many, we all should learn from Randy’s example. Just be “that guy”, there for a laugh, there to help, there to share experiences, there to care for others. We will forever be grateful that Randy was part of our lives and hope to live up to his example of what it is to be “ that guy”. We will greatly miss “our guy”.
The world lost a good person too soon. Randy was one of the most supportive people I have ever known. He took care of everyone in the family, and made it look easy. He always did the right thing. His love for my cousin Bonnie, and their pet family, was so apparent. When life threw twists, he always had something smart, and simply helpful, to say, to smooth rough edges and help you see the positive. I think he enjoyed life, and lived it well. I will always think of him and smile when I drink a Rohrbach’s Blueberry Ale.
Randy, you will be missed. Thank you for being a good person.
We both always enjoyed our visits with Bonnie and Randy. His attention to everyone’s happiness and comfort was ever present. Kindness and undistracted attention was what you got with every interaction. His spirit will always be there to remind us to enjoy each other and just be present.💜
Bonnie I am deeply sorry about Randy he was one of my favorite people I work with at Xerox I always enjoyed his positive attitude. I always looked forward to seeing him at our Christmas get together. I am sorry I will not be there at his showing because we are still in South Carolina not scheduled to come home until next week. Margie and me send our love and prayers to you.
If you were lucky enough to know Randy, you are blessed beyond measure. This is exactly how I feel. People come and go out of our lives, but there are those certain souls that bring a kindness, a thoughtfulness, and a richness and that was Randy. Always there with warmth, a giving heart, a helping hand, a jovial spirit, and a twinkle in his eye. I often thought how everyone needs a Randy in their lives. And we were all lucky enough to have the original. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. It has often been said that a good telltale of the quality of someone ‘s essence and heart energy, is to see how animals act towards a person. This couldn’t be truer for Randy. Animals loved Randy and where so drawn to him, just like people and children where as well. All of his fur babies adored him. I remember fondly when my little dog had fallen head first on the pavement and Randy swoped in, grabbed him in his arms, and just his loving, caring essence for all creatures, healed my dog instantly. I will never forget it.
My parents were the first ones to know Randy and his beautiful wife, Bonnie. They met at Estate Sales and my parents just adored their company. So much so, they told me that I needed to meet them. They knew and could feel both of their amazing hearts, and they knew I too would appreciate them as wonderful people. That was many years ago and sure enough, they became my instant friends and family, in which we shared holidays and birthdays together. Their friendship has been the best gift of all to my family. I will be forever grateful to the kindness they’ve shown my parents over the years.
The world feels a bit smaller without Randy here. We shall all watch over his beloved Bonnie and cherish the love story they shared, for not even death can take away love.
Yep, to know Randy was to be lucky, and I feel blessed to have been lucky enough. Rest in peace with the Angels and Heavenly Father, sweet man. Until we meet again.
I can’t believe that you’re gone, Randy. I was lucky to run into you at Bruegger’s Bagels in Greece while I was “dog sitting” for a friend out there. We chatted just a bit while waiting for our bagels. You always were so kind to me in school….and I surely appreciated that. Sending all your family and friends lots of love and prayers. Live your life for Randy all 🙂
Randy was a cherished colleague who always greeted others with a smile and a positive spirit. He often spoke warmly about his plans for retirement, which makes his passing especially heartbreaking. I truly enjoyed working with Randy and deeply appreciated the energy and kindness he brought each day.
