GATES - September 3, 2019. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita C. (Pellegrino) Barone; children, Christine (Daniel) Barone-Georger Richard J. (Beth Nielsen) Barone, Jr.; grandchildren, Richard J. Barone, III, Rachel (Michael) Visca, Stephen (Lindsey) Georger, Mark (Andrea) Georger; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Visca, Gavin Visca, Samantha Georger Gabriella Georger; brother, Russell (Barbara) Barone; sister-in-law, Maria Pellegrino; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Richard's life story will be shared during his visitation, Friday, September 6th, 4-7 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.). His funeral mass will be celebrated, Saturday, September 7th, 9:30 AM at St Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerport Rd., immediately followed by his interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Veterans Outreach Center, 459 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620 in Richard's memory. Dick was born In October 6, 1940 in Rochester, NY to Russell Barone and Angela Baldo. He grew up around the N. Goodman St/ Yates St. neighborhood. At age 14, he met whom would become the love of his life, Anita Pellegrino. After highschool, Richard served in the US Navy played Saxophone in the Navy Band After being honorably discharged from the Navy in October 1963, he began working at Gleason Works as a Design Engineer and then went onto Kodak as a Mechanical Designer. He loved to play Saxophone, you may have even heard of the Dick Barone Quartet over the years. After retirement he worked part time delivering for CQC. He and Anita were married for 61 years. Through their love, they raised two children, Christine and Richard, Jr. The greatest days of his life were holidays and gatherings with his wife, kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching Alfred Hitchcock, action movies, football, (especially the Buffalo Bills) fishing for Salmon, Trout Bass in the 1000 Islands. One of his favorite past times was woodworking. His attention to detail while working with clocks, shelving and furniture were something to take notice of. Family and friends of Richard "Dick" would say he was an honest, hardworking, trustworthy... he will be deeply missed by everyone that has the pleasure to know him.
