Bob, I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I’m sure he was a great guy and will be missed. You are in my prayers, talk with you soon. Greg Lintelman
I wish I could tell you I love you one more time, I wish I could give you one more hug. I can’t tell you how much I miss you already. I want you to know that you were a great dad, husband, grandpa and just an awesome human being. Dad I love you and you will be in my heart for as long as it keeps beating and when it stops I hope it’s because I’m with you again. I love you Dad!!!
Bob was an equal opportunity prankster and his grand daughters got “pranked” as much as the boys. There were many birthdays that Haley and Nicole found little rubber bugs in the pockets of their gifts. On Haley’s 13th birthday, she got a beautiful bedspread which she wanted and sitting atop of that new spread was a fake dog poop! Nicole always teased her Papa about his teeth because he had dentures. Bob always plotting the next prank found a set of false teeth he found in a souvenir shop and purchased them in anticipation of Nicole’s birthday. Nana and Papa always make the kids an ice cream cake for their birthdays and on this occasion Papa frosted the ice cream cake and placed the “Halloween” teeth trimmed with a smiley face on top into the corner of her cake, insuring Nicole would get it in the first piece. The look on Nicole’s face was priceless!! We still laugh about this one
Dad, you have been part of my life for 25 years. you have always been there for me whenever we needed it. You always helped with your favorite job of painting houses and of course playing jokes. you were and are a loving husband, father and most of all grandfather. there was nothing you wouldn’t do for us kids. you always said I was a saint (haha). I will miss you and until we meet again in that peace place I LOVE YOU.
Papa, the things I remember most, are the times that you made me laugh. You were always trying to play a practical joke on me. And it always had to do with your teeth. The best one was when you put the fake teeth in my birthday cake. Any time I looked at you, you would always end up popping out your teeth. You also kept messing around with me about boys, which we don’t need to worry about anymore. I am really going to miss your jokes with your beautiful smile. ;)I love you Papa!!
from chasing me with your teeth to scavenger hunts for presents there was never a dull moment with you papa. you taught me that I could do anything if I put my mind too it. coming to support every soccer game , or watching Nicole and I kick ass in our competitions you supported every single one of us grand kids. this was not even a prank you could pull. even though you wont be here watching us grow into successful adults we know you are watching down on us. Ill miss your corny jokes the most. have fun playing cards and enjoy some golf up there. I love you papa. R.I.P
My papa can be summed up in one phrase: “hey have you heard the one about (insert joke here)?” That says a lot about Bob Bag o Donuts, Bob the Mormon, and Homer Jethro; my papa. Papa in the vernacular Italian means father, and like a second father my papa was always there for me whether cheering for me on the soccer field or telling me to keep with my school work, in the words of my papa “no one will ever replace him” and that is the truth. I will forever miss him and his advice on women. Ti amo papa.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Bob Sacheli. We have had the pleasure of working with Bob at Delco/ITT for many years and also seeing him at Holy Ghost Church many times. Bob was always a kind, caring gentleman who loved to be social, had a sense of humor and a wonderful smile. I recently saw Bob and Jean at physical therapy and he told me he wasn’t sure if he could do the trip to Florida this winter because of his health issues. He will be deeply missed by many people whose lives he touched. Rest in Peace now Bob.
Dear Bob, Debbie & Family, Our hearts go out to you and your family on the los of your father and grandfather.May he rest in peace. Norm & Judy Blaustein
He was a prankster of the first order with his grandchildren. Bob and Derek (his oldest grandson) passed a jar of Prego sauce back-and-forth too many times to remember and finally Lisa, his daughter, being fearful that it would burst threw it out! Derek and Jason were famous for never turning out lights, so one Christmas, they wrote up a letter to “Papa” with an RGE logo giving him tips of keeping kids away from light switches, heating rooms with heat supply and not lights, and it would be a good idea to put labels underneath light switches to help him remember which way the switch goes when trying to turn lights off. And, Derek and Jason signed the letter as CEO and RG&E President. Also, one other great prank that comes to mind is when Derek was asking for a cell phone, Papa gave him two tin cans connected by a short string to use as a telephone, and also included a long string for long distance calls.
Bob and Jean have been going to Florida for the first three months of each year since 1998, and owned a condo in Boca Raton until 2004 when they sold it and moved to Greenacres, FL. He always remarked that Greenacres was the “place to be”. And, he enjoyed his weekly golfing outing with the Men’s League and spent many Sundays cooking in the Kitchen of the clubhouse during Happy Hour. He even made pizza fritta one Sunday. We made many trips while in Florida with Angie and Carl (Bob’s sister and brother-in-law). Had great fun going on the Seascape Liner for the day and many good times going to Disney, even including another sister-in-law, Martha, and Mark (nephew-in-law).

Bob was a member of the Gates Westgate Seniors Club and had many many dear friends in the Club who enjoyed his company. He would arrange luncheons at different restaurants he thought his friends might enjoy and Eleanor, Paul, Jim, Theresa, John, Gillian, Grace, Ellie (when she wasn’t volunteering), and his wife Jean usually enjoyed his choices. He also had a very special friend whom he considered a second mother (Connie Andolino), who sat next to Bob during the meetings, and he always gave his piece of birthday cake to her (for her dinner dessert). At last Thursday’s meeting, when it was time for lunch, Connie asked Jean where Bob was and, of course, he wasn’t there. Connie thought Bob had kissed her hello, and couldn’t believe he wasn’t there.
