  1. Greg – so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was a terrific man and certainly loved his kids. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Wishing you good memories and a full heart. Hang in there.

    – The Kelly family

  2. We are sorry to hear about Bob passing…we enjoyed talking with him at the pool or at Bingo or the horse races at Georgetown park apartments.

  3. I am so sad to hear of Bob’s passing.
I am he is my Godfather and I adored him always.
He and my father became the best of friends when they met on the job at Gleason Works in the 1950’s.
My father took me to visit Bob at the Fire House on South Ave and to his home on Stewart Street.
My favorite memories, however, were the visits Bob would make to my childhood home.
The way he and my father would laugh together warms my heart still.
I still cherish two baby dolls Bob gave me when I was a small child. I still have them and still love them.

God bless the family and friends of this very fun loving guy. He brought joy to all.

  4. To The Bob Woodard Family:

Bob was in the Rochester Fire Academy Graduation Class of 1962, of which I was a part of. He and Al Arena met in 1962, as Al was also a class mate, and they became fast friends. For a long while you didn’t see one without the other. Recalling the “Days of Yore” we had a “Ball” at the fire academy.

Our other Class Mates, besides Bob, were:

    Al Arena; Joe Bryan; Pat Cocca; Dan Cavuoto; Tony Flamia; Tony Starnino; Jack Gill; Dick Nujiens;
John Leuizzi; Howie Travis; Bob Hildebrand; Ray Barend; Manfred Wiesenborne; and Tommy Romano.

What a good bunch of guys. They all served the City of Rochester well.

I will miss Bob. He was a great person and a good Firefighter.

May He Rest n God’s Love.

    Dan Cavuoto
    Class of 1962
