Rose J. (Swartz) D'Ambrosia Henrietta:August 10, 2024. Rose is predeceased by her husband, George D'Ambrosia; son-in-law, Steven Pavone; step-daughter, Isabelle Christopher; step-grandson, Michael Cruz. She is survived by her children, Georgia Pavone & Frank (Brenda) D'Ambrosia; step-son, George (Linda Colucci) D'Ambrosia; step-daughter, Josephine (Robert) Brucato; grandchildren, Maria (Jason) Fox, Christine (Brian) Pilaroscia, Steven Pavone, Sierra D'Ambrosia; step-grandson Jose Cruz; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends. Rose's life story will be shared during her visitation at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 & Long Pond Rd.), Sunday, August 18th, 1-4 PM. Her funeral service will be celebrated, Monday, August 19th, 10 AM at the funeral home. Immediately following, Rose will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450 in her memory. Remembering Rose Janet D'Ambrosia: Rose D'Ambrosia was born on January 23, 1936, in Franklin, Pennsylvania. At the age of 18, she moved to Rochester, New York. It was in Rochester that she met Sergio "George" D'Ambrosia, the love of her life, and they married, beginning a joyful life. Rose was a loving mother to her children and stepchildren, Georgia Pavone, Frank D'Ambrosia, George D'Ambrosia, Isabelle Christopher, and Josephine Brucato. Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them, along with her best friend Carol Cappezzuto. Rose and her family vacationed in Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and the Adirondack Mountains. Her love extended to her beloved pet dog, Angel, who brought her great happiness. Professionally, Rose had a distinguished 24-year career at the Rochester Psychiatric Center. Her caring, compassion, and respect for her patients earned her high regard and made a significant impact on those she cared for. Prior to this, she also worked at Ganett for five years, contributing her talents and commitment to her roles. Rose was an enthusiastic collector of beer steins coins from around the globe. Her artistic side was evident in her self-taught proficiency with the acoustic guitar and piano, and she enjoyed creating artwork. Rose had an appreciation for music, especially acoustic guitar, and piano compositions. Rose also loved watching comedy and investigation shows. Her favorite sayings were, "If you don't believe I'm leaving, just count the days I'm gone. Take good care of my daughter and take good care of my son." Described by those who knew her as loving, kind, caring, funny, and supportive, Rose's life was a beautiful blend of professional achievement, family dedication, and personal passions. She embodied grace and dignity, understanding deeply that a mother holds her children's hands for only a while but their hearts forever. Rose D'Ambrosia will be remembered fondly for the compassion and love she brought into the lives of those around her.
