  1. Vinny and Cathy DiSchino Relation to Deceased: Friend from Most Precious Blood Rosie always made our hearts smile. She had a wonderful laugh and was so much fun to be around. We will never forget her or Gabe. They’re together again forever. Thanks for the memories, Rosie. Rest in peace. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  2. Tony Vicaretti Relation to Deceased: Friend I remember back in 2000 I went on a first date with this girl Gina to D’andrea’s Restaunt on Lyell Ave and Rosie was there all alone because her girlfriend she always hung out with sick. They would go there every Saturday night to listen to the live music. I had Rosie have dinner with us and it was a blast, my date adored her and me for my kindness to Rosie. Needless to say the relationship didn’t last more than a month, but that night was a memory I will never forget. RIP Rosie, you were the best. A lot of people don’t know this but Rosie was even on the Morning Circus with Brother Weese for awhile and then there was a falling out between them for whatever the issue was. She was the best lady and great neighbor on our street. Just wanted to share these memories as now I am thinking of her. There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth shadows, Pray to trust our Father’s will There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand: do it now, while life remaineth you shall rest in Jesus’ land When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; oh the rapture of that meeting, oh the joy to see you come!

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun. Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

  10. Michael D Ahern Relation to Deceased: Family Cathy and Marie We will all miss her. A Great Heart, A Great Soul, A Great Life!! Michael The celebration of life, shared in the beginning, and again, in the end. Yet we forget to celebrate it, in every moment we live. Time, days, years, go on, but are we alive? Alive and do not know it, sleeping in the world and dead to the life we are to live. To celebrate all life, the sparrow who sang in the morning, and died in the night, why do we not celebrate its life? To know thyself is to know you are alive – to give, to love, to seek truth, beauty, and suffer pain. In life as it is meant to be, pain is forgotten, and strength is all that’s left to be gained in the moment by moment celebration of life. By Deborah Peabody

  18. Dan Smith and Paul Cotton Relation to Deceased: Amici When we first met Rosa Bella she was smiling and extending to us the hospitality of her home. We had met Marie and Cathy in Massachusetts and this was our first visit to Rochester. Our impression was that she never met a stranger, even two Nashvillians who spoke differently and didn’t have Yankee ways. She loved life and music and making pizzelles for us to consume in massive quantities. She had big hair and a heart even bigger. Seeing her as mother of the bride and cake lady extraordinaire convinced us that her understanding of God’s Big Picture was as real as the warmth of the fresh baked zucchini bread she lovingly gave us when it was time to head back home. Her faith in God, in her church, and in her family was her strength. Her smile was contagious. It will be a joy to get a hug from Mama when we see her next, in Heaven’s Kitchen, baking sweet morsels for all God’s children. Until then Rosa Bella, requiesca in pace! Dan and Paul
