Rosemary Conte

Peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 77, after a brave struggle with cancer and dementia. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Josephine Polli; her in-laws, Edward and Carol Conte; and her brother-in-law, Edward Conte. Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years and amazing caregiver during her last five years, Timothy Conte Sr.; her cherished children, Michelle Smalley, Andrea (Larry Merlo) Colombo, Timothy (Kelly Shevlin) Conte Jr., Joanne (Deane) Butler, Anthony (Lindsey) Conte, Robert (Matthew Darling) Conte, and Justin (Lukas van der Fecht) Conte; and her beloved grandchildren, Louis V (Vanessa), Paige (Susie Miner), Sadie, Jett, Anthony, Antonio, Joey, Grace, Tess, Anthony, and Zoey, along with great-grandchildren Louis VI and Rocco. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Roberta (Jan) Nowak, Andrea Quinn, Maryann Drew, and Charlene (Robert) Veltz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosemary’s greatest legacy lies in her seven children, whom she loved fiercely. She cherished every moment spent with her family, sharing laughter, music, dancing, and rooting for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Her sense of humor and warmth touched everyone who knew her.

Rosemary loved to crochet blankets, and it was something that brought her so much joy. She poured her heart into every stitch, wanting to create something special for others. Many of her blankets found their way to children’s hospitals, where she hoped they would bring comfort to kids who needed it most. This was just one of the many ways she shared her kindness and brightened the lives of those around her.
The Conte family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Angela Randall for coordinating Rosemary’s care during her final weeks, the compassionate team at Hildebrandt for their attentive support, and Dr. Ashley Smith and the entire staff at UR Medicine for their loving and knowledgeable care over the past five and a half years.

Rosemary’s life story will be shared during visitation on Monday, July 21, from 4-7 pm, at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd., 14626.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 in Rosemary’s memory.
