April 12, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Corrado and Giuseppa (Giardinello) Santacroce; brother, Rosario Santacroce. Survived by his wife, Filippina Santacroce; son, Joseph (Mary Russo) Santacroce; grandsons, Joseph S. Santacroce, Robert M. Santacroce; sisters, Giroloma (Rosa), Rosaria (Sarina), Corradina (Dina), Maria Grazia; brothers, Guiseppe, Giovanni; several family members across Italy, France and Germany.

Sam was born in Rosolini, Provincia Siracusa, Italy on November 13, 1927. He grew up there for 35 years. While in Italy, he served the the Italian Army. He met and married his wife, Filippina Prato in 1958. They then moved to the United States in 1962.
Sam became a construction laborer for the Local 435. He was a reliable man and was called upon to work on important projects, because of his work ethic. He enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and vegetables. He grew some grapes on his land and made lots of his own wine. He enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling and was a fan of Andre' The Giant. He faithfully attended church. Enjoyed the outdoors and liked to cook. He really enjoyed old western movies and musicals.
Sam liked to spend time at the family beach house, and the family get togethers. Sam was a mild manner person. He was loving, supportive, compassionate, patient, hard working and social. Sam loved his family and he was known to live his life "Doing the right thing". Sam will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
