Sammy was the most amazing, kind hearted and gentle man. I have known him my entire life and have so many fond memories of him. He was my Daddy’s best friend and his spirit will live on in his family and many friends. I feel privileged to have had him in my life!

Barb and family — So very sad to hear about Sam. I just remember what a delightful man he was helping out with the Alaska marathon. Heartfelt sympathy and prayers for you, now and in the days ahead.
Knowing Sam for 60+ years has been nothing short of spectacular. Sam was always there, in the good times as well as through the challenges. We were together during every fishing season, hunting season and everything in between. Our relationship is one that I shall cherish forever. Sam gives new meaning to the phrase “My Brother From Another Mother”. Sam was truly my “Brother”.
We wanted to express how sad we are to learn of Sam’s passing. Congratulations on the birth of your first grandchild.
My fondest memory is of Sam falling asleep in the back yard with puppy Owen on his chest. My scariest memories involve him whenever he got up on that ladder to do house maintenance. Yah.
May he bag the biggest buck, shoot the most ducks, and win all the fishing derbies in his new home in Heaven. May you all be very kind and gentle with yourselves and keep the wind sailing at your backs. May God, Jesus, and the Virgin Mary bless you all infinitely, as you deserve.
In case we do not see you (one of our triplets is back in the hospital with a hopefully mild respiratory problem,) please know that we pray for all of our Cacia friends in this time of sadness.
Barbara and family. My heart is heavy after hearing of Sam’s passing. We were long time acquaintances/friends from the Rochester Bassmasters. Sam’s heart and positive spirit always filled the room. He was a kind and gentle man with only good things to say about others. As others have said, gone from this life too soon. Now he can continue to be that guardian angel to all those in his beloved family. May God’s loving spirit be with you all at this time.
Sam was a great man who was liked by all who knew him. Our heartfelt sympathies are with all of you during this time. May you find comfort in all the good memories you have and the family and friends that surround you.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Barb (and family). Please know that you and your family will continue to be in my prayers. May the God of all comfort come close to you and carry you through this. Many hugs and much love.
This man had so much love for all in his life
He was a blessing to everyone.
His love for his family and Bella of course was beautiful.
Bill and I are praying for all of you, especially you Barb.
love always.
Barbara,You are in my thoughts this morning. I am so sad for the loss of Sam for all of you.You are so blessed to have such devoted family and friends to surround you.Of course, being you, is a source of strength for all of them!!! My very best Leigh Little
So sorry to see that Sammy has passed. I knew Sammy for a very long time as we worked as truck drivers with the teamsters union at the same time. Although you may work for different companies, you know everyone out there. Eventually I joined Yellow Freight in 1995, where I worked along side with Sammy until I retired in 2003. I stayed in touch with Sammy and Barb since. Barb, I am so sorry to hear that Sammy has passed but I know he will live on with You, your family, and anyone that knew him. Stay strong. Socks
Dearest Cacia family..Sammy was a great person, He was a cute little rascal as a child on Rohr Steet. My next best memory was Sammy as a teenager about 18 or 19 and what i believe was Sam’s first foray into being a cowboy by coming out here to the FARM (in Hilton) and riding horses with his sister Ann Marie. I am going to assume that Sam liked fish better than horses! As life progressed I would see Sammy when he made deliveries.
he was always sweet. Kept up with the Cacia clan with Ann Marie’s facebook posts most recently. It was so sad to learn of Sammy;s illness. Like many I don’t question Gods will. I shall keep Sammy in my prayers.

I met Sam 6 years ago when my husband and I had just begun dating. Bobby was so excited for me to meet Barb and Sam, basically his second family, being they were the parents of his best friend Jeff. Barb and Sam were so welcoming and I immediately felt as though I’d known them for years. They are such warm people, genuine, and full of love for their family, friends and each other.
I quickly learned Sam was “the go to” for a handful of Bobby’s fishing, pheasant and duck hunting questions. They could talk for hours about things that held my attention for minutes. I see Sam’s passion for the outdoors in my husband, and I know that he will carry his memory with him whenever he’s in the woods, a muddy field or a prime fishing spot.
Thoughts and prayers to all. Barb, Ali, Jeff and Kim, we love you. I’m so sorry I cannot attend the services. My heart breaks for the loss of such a kind soul too early gone.
Nearly 60 years of memories are impossible to capture in a few words. Loved him like a brother and best friend. He will live on in the many whose lives he touched. RIP, brother. There will never be another like you. Love to Barb and family. Love, Joan and Rick
