Our thanks to her many dear friends and neighbors over the years, the nursing staff on floor 2700 at Unity Hospital, and the Aurora Hospice House of Western Monroe County. She will be remembered as a gracious hostess, for teaching her own and neighborhood children how to swim, her delight in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beautiful flowers, and for Christmas trees that rivaled Martha Stewart’s best work.
We know Sarah is overjoyed to see her beloved husband and son, Jake, in the afterlife. Her closing words each evening to her family and friends were “Sogni d’oro”, reminding us to have dreams of gold. Sogni d’oro, Sarah. We love you.
Sarah’s lifestory will be shared during her visitation on Saturday, April 18th from 11-2 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626.
