Survived by children, Gloria (Stephen) Anderson, Donna (Sean) Moffatt, Linda Barbaro, John Barbaro, Jr; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Leonard (Rosemond) Vancheri, Louis Vancheri; several nieces nephews. Stella's funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church of Greece, 2400 W. Ridge Road. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catholic Family Center/Freedom House, 87 N. Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14604 in Stella's memory. Stella was born to Joseph Mary Vancheri in Pittston, PA where she resided until she was 18. She then moved to Ontario and later settled in Rochester. She was a high school graduate and was hard working her entire life. She was a devoted wife for over 50 years and wonderful, dedicated mother to her children. Her appearance and her home were always immaculate. Some of her hobbies included gardening, specifically her rose garden, cooking, she was a voracious reader, and loved watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Stella always enjoyed music, movies and both movies and music from her era. She loved Gone With the Wind, and The Wizard of Oz. Family and friends would best describe Stella as having strong convictions, being intelligent and hardworking, loving, kind, compassionate, and caring. Stella was someone with a sparkling personality who loved to laugh, loved good things and good people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
