  1. So sad to hear this. I knew him when I was with Henrietta ambulance and he was a sheriff. RIP. You will be missed.

  2. I worked with Steve at the sheriff’s office. He was a pleasure to work with and always maintained a true sense of humor. There was never a dull moment with Steve. He was an outstanding police officer and a friend to everyone. God Bless Steve, Isabella and family.

  3. Condolences: I worked with Steve when I was Counsel to the Sheriff. He was always a gentleman and a credit to his profession.

  4. I am so sorry to hear this. Steve was the funniest, best trumpet player, just great person all the way around. And my son’s best friend all through school was Josh. I never asked what his last name was until later in high school. When he told me it was Lemon, I said that’s not a common last name. I went to school with a Steve Lemon. My son came back the next day and told me Steve was his Dad. So I knew my son had chosen well for a best friend. Prayers to all his family and friends which I’m sure must be hundreds by now.

  5. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. He was a very kind an thoughtful person to work for. Always made laugh.

  6. Steve was my Training Officer when I first started. I have so many fond memories. He will be truly missed. A Good Man, who taught me many things I needed to know. I am sure God is getting some good laughs in right now with him!

  7. I remember him fondly. He was such a nice guy. He helped me through some really difficult times in high school and I’ve thought of him many times throughout the years. RIP Officer Lemon, you will be missed.🙏

  8. I am very sorry to hear this sad news. I have so many great memories of eluding Steve in my Hilton High School days. I thought he finally got us when our phone lines were tapped but we escaped with a slap on the wrist. He was awesome, fair, and an overall great guy. We had mutual respect for each other. I saw him in the late 90’s when I jumped in an elevator at Roswell Park. I was Late for rounds. He called my name and I couldn’t believe it was him in the back of the elevator!!! He was more shocked I turned out to be an Oncologist. Super guy and will be missed. RIP Officer Lemon.

  9. Steven- I was 18 years old when you were born. We had so much fun together and I loved being your aunt. You have been through so much and you are at peace now. Love your aunt Shirley

  10. So sorry to hear this. Condolences to the family. Please give my dad a hug.

    RIP Steve

  11. I am so sorry to hear of Steve Lemon passing. He was kinda sheriff and our friend in the smoking lounge back in class of 1980. His picture is exactly the memories I have of that time in my life.
Rest in Peace Steve and my condolences to his family 🙏🏻🙏🏻

  12. Mr. Lemon worked security at Hilton High back in the day (’91 graduate here). While he was a very firm person, he was also a very fair person. He treated each kid like as if they were his own. God Bless and RIP Mr Lemon 🙏

  14. Sincere condolences to Steve’s family.

I had some really great and fun times with Steve. The days of the Sheriffs Lake boat at Skinner’s Marina, him standing in our wedding party, loads of good laughs!

    I’ll remember those times forever.

    Rest in Peace my friend.

  15. Steve was my recruit class counselor. He was a great Deputy and great guy. He was also one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. My deepest condolences to Brian and the rest of the Lemon Family.

  16. Great person to work with for many years, always had a great positive outlook at MCSO and on life in law enforcement.

  17. I want to extend my sincere condolences to the Lemon Family for your loss. I was in the Police academy with him and we became good friends. Steve was good man and friend and will be missed. I pray that God gives the Lemon family strength during this challenging time. God Bless, RIP Steve.
