  1. I had the honor to work with and then work for Terry as his assistant during his GM gig for Warm101.3 and The Zone – fast forward 30+ years and he remains one of the best bosses I have ever had. He is the person that introduced me to the concept of Attitude Is Everything – which I still try my best to live by to this day. My heart is broken over his loss and for my Polly Prissy Pants. He was and will always be my favorite LOSER. The world will be a little less shiny without him in it. Love you PPP….xoxo “insert loser symbol here”.

  2. Our Deepest Sympathy
    To The Owen Family
    Terry Was The Best,
    And Made A Huge Impact
    In My Early Career
    He Will Be Missed,

  5. I met Terry Owen in January 1999 while interviewing at 98PXY. I was 24 years old looking to begin my career and didn’t even know what Radio Sales was. Terry was my final of 3 sales managers I met with that day when he offered me the job.

Terry dedicated my first 3 full days training me 1 on 1 in his office, even through he was the GM of the station at the time. I was blessed to work for so many great people during my time in media sales, but like a few others Terry was special.

From his Tommy Boy Sales Lessons to his Attitude is Everything training he did everything with a smile on his face and a love for life in his heart.

Two lessons I learned from Terry that helped guide me in my career were “your relationship is never as good as you think it is” and “the sale is never as close as you think it is”.

I still have my Attitude is Everything coin from that day in 1999. My promise to Terry is to carry it with me every day, to remind me of him and to live the way he did. Always laughing, always smiling, always helping everyone around him.
