I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr Antonucci. However over the years I got to know his son Dominic very well. And if the saying “like father, like son” holds any merit than I imagine that Mr. Antonucci was caring, charismatic, unbelievably thoughtful and a joy to be around. My heart goes out to your friends and family. May you rest in peace. Love, Justin Spellman.
Ted was a one and only, a true original who loved his family and loved life with a great sense of humor and a spirit that although will be missed, will live on in eternity. Our deepest condolences to the entire Antonucci family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dearest Margaret, boys and family, Some of the best memories in our family’s lives are thanks to Teddy. The motocross years are still fondly remembered and a race weekend would not have been complete without an “Antonucci omelet”. They are, in fact, being made often in all of our homes. You can be certain that we will never forget Teddy for his friendship, cheerfulness, his willingness to help repair a cycle or share a few beers – he was one great guy. Please accept our most sincere sympathy for this very premature loss. It will also be felt by many Doug and Michele Bennett
Ted Antonucci was a great and gifted man who was loved by many friends and family. I’m happy and privileged to have called him my friend. He was a man who had a great love of family and who really understood the meaning of friendship. Ted was always there for others, when times were good or bad for a friend or family member. He was a member of our group the Budda Foundation of America as Sergeant of Arms for nearly twenty years. Teddy brought a smile to all of our faces every time he entered a room. He was larger than life and always was ready with a comment, remark, joke or a story. He had lots of stories that I think will be told and re told for many years to come. As a Budda member he was instrumental in helping us to write our Budda pledge and anthem especially for the word: “conviviality”, which we really know Margaret gave to us. Ted was a giant among men and made a great impression upon people. My own sons Anthony and Greg were drivers for the Buddas at various holiday functions and they remember Teddy well. My son Greg mentioned one time that Rocky Marciano was something like 50-0 and Teddy replied: ” that’s no big deal because I’m 100-0, and half of that is on concrete.” That’s just one quick story that I’m sure we all could recount to one another. Ted was quick witted and funny and so was his sidekick, his wife Marg. She was the love of his life and they were together since middle school. I can still hear him say in his own raspy deep voice way: “hey Marg, your wit me!” He gave us all many reasons to smile and to laugh and I’m sure will remain part of our lives forever. We ate together, drank together and even travelled together as friends and I can honestly say that he left this world a better place for having lived among us. I’m privileged to have been his friend and I know that there are many who feel exactly as I do. Ted was the kind of guy that you wanted on your side and his loyalty came unquestioned and totally. He was devoted to his family and friends as perhaps few people ever could be and he lived life with great passion and enthusiasm. He was not one to cross or try to take advantage of and was at the same time someone who was always willing to help you out. Ted will be missed and I firmly believe that a special place awaits him in the next world. I know that he will be having a ball in Heaven’s lounge as he listens to Louie Prima on the jukebox. All I can say Teddy is save me a stool and put on some Sinatra for me pal! With love, Greg Masceri “Grandbudda”
