Vincent W. Gionta Ogden: November 23, 2019, at the age of 82. Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore Mary Gionta; brothers Frank, Sylvester Salvatore Gionta; sisters, Dorothy (Tony) Federico Rose Marie (Alfred) Trotta. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sandra (Dix) Gionta; children, Therese (Daniel) Luther, Matthew (Denise) Gionta, Michael (Kelly) Gionta and Philip (Andrea) Gionta Maryanne (Jonathan) Conte; grandchildren, Andrew, Vincent, Joseph, Carl, Anthony, John, Noah, Emma, Nicole Roman; sisters-in-law, Katie, Antoinette Niki Gionta; many loving nieces, nephews dear friends. Vincent's life story will be shared during visitation 3:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26 at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Wednesday at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Rd, Gates, NY 14624. Interment in Holy Ghost Cemetery. As a youth, he was always busy with yard work, sports and taking care of his cars. He was a proud graduate of Aquinas Institute where he played football, basketball baseball. He worked at Rochester Colonial, the family business, for 57 years where he served as President. He met his wife Sandra on a blind date and eventually they married at Immaculate Conception church. They later welcomed 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews into their family. Vincent was a parishioner at St. Helen Church for over 50 years. He was a hard worker, loved being in the sun and taking care of his yard. The Bills and the Yankees were his favorite teams. Vincent loved watching the Honeymooners and the movie, The Godfather. You'd often hear him say, "I'd like to thank you all for coming." He was a good provider, generous and kind to anyone in need. His family will remember his kind heart, generosity and the love he displayed for them.
