My heart-felt sympathy goes to your family. Wayne was a loving, high-spirited, and funny man. He brought a lot of laughter, encouragement, and his life lessons to RSD students and staff.
I honestly have no idea what to say, except that he inspired me, and he truly was the best teacher I’ve ever had. He saw the potential in me, and he engaged it. He pushed me to be better than I showed. I truly wish I could’ve had more time with him than what little I had with him. He was my hero, and he will always be the person that I will try to follow in his footsteps.
David was so shocking that wayne already went home with high fly up there and he said Wayne was very good teacher and also very funny humor or joking or teasing to people David had good memories of Wayne while David was high school

Oh dear friend.
It is so very painful to lose your soul mate.
As you already know, since he became part of your soul, he will be forever entwined in your life. Everywhere you go, every day, for the rest of your life you will know:
1) someone loved you with all his heart
2) he’d still be there next to you, if he could
3) the depth and purity of his love will warm you as his memory is carried with you in every moment going forward
4) the ache of missing him is also bonded with the blessing of laughing with him, when you know you see something he’d enjoy, even years later.
5) hold his hand and lean on him, in your heart and mind and dreams and the memory of that support and love does stay with you forever to comfort you and wrap itself around you.
6) know you were the most awesome love he ever could have imagined and YOU meant so much to change one person’s life every moment you had together.
Thinking of you, and sending the biggest hugs I can.
Love,
Sue
I am so sorry for your loss. The students and staff at RSD are so fortunate to have him in our lives, although it was too short for us. Wayne was a super role model for all of us in showing a positive and joyful outlook at all times. Our memories of Wayne will always stay with us and we cherish every minute of our time with him.
I am so sorry… i always liked Wayne and knew he was a special human being. I really enjoyed our conversations and interactions. I am so sorry to Martha and his family /friends/RSD family.
Dear Marfy,
No words can express my feelings or thoughts. My condolences to you and the family of Wayne. May God be with you all during this difficult time.
Hugs,
Marsha
Mr. Mnich was the best teacher I could ask for. His joy and humor brought everybody closer together and staff and students from third floor would gather in front of his classroom and talk and talk. When he left, only the students remained in the hallways, quiet. He was an extraordinairy man and I’m very lucky to have had known him. He will never be forgotten. He will always be in our hearts.
Thank you so much to Wayne’s family for sharing him with us at RSD these past couple years. The kids adored him and the staff enjoyed working beside him. Even though we knew him briefly, his impact upon us and our school was great. I can imagine he had that kind of impact everywhere he went. Condolences to all of you.
Been there short as an international intern at RSD but he always made me laugh and shared his warmth, his wisdom, his stories.. My condoleances goes out to all who mourn.
Earth has lost one of the greats. Wayne, I’m happy to have met such a great man. I’ll remember you for sure. I feel sad too that i can’t show you around here in the Netherlands anymore. You told me that you loved to come by someday…
I’m so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort and tender mercies (Psalms 83:18 Jehovah & 2Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort your hearts while we await His Kingdom government that Jesus prayed for in the Lord’s Prayer. Revelation 21:4,5 promises HE will end death…. and make all things new.
I extend my deepest sympathy to your family for your loss. Wayne was a special soul – full of life and positivity! His smile lit up a room and anyone that met him was forever touched by his spirit. I feel honored to have known him and worked with him for the short time he was at RSD. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
Our deepest condolences and sympathies for the loss of your beautiful husband~Wayne! His beauty brought us radiance. We will miss him. May his soul Rest In Peace.
My deepest condolences and sympathy for the entire family. Wayne was such a charismatic character at RSD and he will be deeply missed. Everyone adored his sense of humor and his smile was quite contagious. It was such an honor to be a colleague of his and work alongside such a highly revered teacher. He will be remembered forever here at RSD.
“In memory of [Wayne’s] life so beautifully lived…a heart so deeply loved.” He will be greatly missed but his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. With warm thoughts and love your way. Eddy
I am so sorry for you loss. I only vaguely knew Wayne from a couple of encounters, but in those short minutes I could tell he was a marvelous man. He will be missed by so many from so many different age groups! RIP Wayne.
