I grew up living next door to the Ward family for many years, first on Rainier Street and then on Electric Avenue. When we moved from Rainier Street, which was a double house we shared with the Ward’s, they followed us and purchased the house right next door to us on Electric Avenue. I was a year older than Kathy, but we became good friends all through high school. Ruth and Bill were like second parents. Ruth and my mom were very close lifetime friends. I was able to visit Bill at Mark’s home two year’s ago last January. He was jovial and friendly, just as I remembered him and we had a great time remembering the old days. His mild manner and sense of humor will be missed. My deepest condolences to Kathy, Candy, Chrissy and Mark. For many years you were all a part of our family and wonderful memories still remain. God bless and comfort each of you.

My Dad, Joe Nicosia, worked with Bill at Delco and enjoyed playing golf with him for many years. My father was on Honor Flight Mission 8 along with my two brothers; one was Dad’s guardian and the other was guardian for another veteran. Dad was so surprised and happy that Bill was on the same Honor Flight with his grandson. My sympathies to all of Bill’s family for their loss.
