Greece - October 30, 2018. Paul is survived by his wife Elaine R. Rosa; sister Elaine (Phil) Neary; children, Paul Michael Rosa, Tony (Angie) Rosa, Dannylee Rosa, David Rosa, Shawn Rosa, Vince (Rita) Rallo, Dean (Emily) Rallo, Aaron (Andrea) Rallo, Jan (Phil) Margi­otta; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends. Paul’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Sat­urday, November 3rd, 10 AM at Holy Cross Church, immediately followed by his entomb­ment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY 14612 in Paul’s memory.


Paul was born on November 18th, 1942 to George & Angelina Rosa. He attended Nazareth Hall grammar school and made many life long friends. Paul attended Aquinas Institute where he was known to have a spirited personality, and graduated in 1961. Paul went on to attend college at Rochester Business Institute, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He was the co-founder & owner of Rosa & Sullivan and in 1981 founded Rosa’s Home Stores in Buffalo, NY.  Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was often described as a “big teddy bear”. He liked to cook out on the grill, loved making pancakes for family breakfast and looked forward to all family gatherings. 

During his free time, Paul enjoyed golfing, playing cards and going out to lunch with his friends on Thursdays. He was a Buffalo Bills fan, a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed spending many winters in Florida. Some of Paul’s favorite music was Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand.

Paul was known to be kind, generous, caring, strong-willed and was a mentor to many. He maintained many loyal and life-long friendships, was hardworking and possessed many leadership qualities. Paul touched many lives and will always be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will continue to be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him.
