She is survived by her husband, 0f 63 years, Patrick Altavela; son, Richard (Karen) Altavela; daughters, Patricia (Owen) Flynn and Mary (Bill) Terwilliger; six grandchildren, Alicia (Aaron) Tanck, Kristina (Andrew) Long, Lindsay (Kevin) Beaumont, Patrick Flynn, Nicole and Chris Terwilliger; three great grandchildren. Additional Information Christine received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She also earned a Masters degree from Nazareth College. She began her illustrious career as a free lance fashion illustrator for area department stores. After raising her family, she embarked on a new career as an art teacher in the Churchville-Chili School District for over seventeen years. She was a member of the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery and Suburban Art Group.
