I first meet David as my instructor in one of his Advanced Graphic Arts classes he taught at MCC. I had recently lost my job and needed to brush up on my computer layout skills to re-enter the work force in my chosen field. After several weeks in his class I started talking with him about my situation and he suggested I apply at the printing company where he was currently employed as a sales rep. After I applied the next day David went to bat for me (I was not much more than a stranger to him at the time) and talked the owner into giving me a job along side him in the sales dept. After the printing company we worked for went out of business, we in turn went our separate ways only to be reunited a few years later at Advanced Quick Printing. We both managed the small branch located at the Baush & Lomb headquarters along with generating new printing sales for the company. It was from that point on that David and I became great friends. In the 16+ years since we meet my wife and I welcomed David and Brian into our neighborhood and several years later were honor to help celebrate in their marriage and continued to be very close. I know I will truly miss David but know my life was truly blessed just having him as my friend. Rest in Peace David.
JEAN SARFATY Relation to Deceased: Childhood friend to family Debbie and Susan, So so sorry, I remember David as a little boy with the blonde hair and that sweet laugh of his. I remeber you living in Chili Apartments and I lived in the house next door on Chili Ave. We had fun as small children and david was always with us. Your mom used to get so mad at us because we were never ready when the school bus was coming. May the many memeories of happy times with David and that beautiful smile of his help you though these hard times. You are in my prayers as well as David. Take care Jean Sarfaty As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering ….. Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ….. To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We’re thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us.
Debra Gross Dear Sue and Family, I am so sorry about your loss of David. I remember him from many years ago growing up in Chili. He had a beautiful smile and a great laugh. He found joy and love in his life. I know you will take comfort in that in the days ahead. Please know I am thinking of you at this difficult time.
