We left Rochester about the same time (they Florida; us Nevada) and returned around the same time. Tried to get together and it didn’t work out… two men battling illness. The last time I saw my sweet cousin was when she came to see me at the Catholic gift shop in Spencerport where I volunteered. She was still devastated by Sam’s death, something I fully grasped a year later when I, too, lost the love of my life. I wish everyone could have met Gail in her youth: she was just plain gorgeous.
