I am so sorry for your loss. I am very close to my Grandparents so I can only imagine your pain. Know that she will always be looking down on you. You are lucky to have been able to spend so much time with her. Cherish those memories, hold them close to your heart. May you rest in peace Aunt Helen. You will be missed. You were one to be admired and looked up to (no pun intended). Your heart was true and immensely large enough to love all of us even if we weren’t always close by. You have left behind a legacy that will go down in history and we all know you are here with your family still. It’s not like you to just give up and let go. Your spirit will be felt around all for always.
I still treasure my graduation invitation you gave me this past year after holding it for almost 30 years! I knew that it would mean more to me now because YOU held onto it for that long. I have kept it safely tucked away and have shown everyone “look what my Aunt Helen has had for 30 years!” And I nicely tuck it back away safe. Now I look at it and have more memories from that day.
