I was saddened to learn of Jim’s passing. I have fond memories of the fun times we had growing up on Orchard Hills Drive. My prayers go out to the Shamp family during this difficult time.
Hung out with Jim a lot from 86 to 91 in Escondido CA. He was always fun to hang out with. We’d get my wife laughing so hard we almost had to call 911. He was a hard worker, a good bowler, and a great fisherman. The only ones that ever had a bad thing to say about Jim were the fish (he kept hooking them in their lips).
His last day in CA, we surfed perfect waves and Jim talked us out of a ticket on the way home.
He’ll be missed and remembered often as a good guy that could always make ya laugh, and about the best friend I’ve ever had.
Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
