Predeceased by his parents, Antonio Filomena (Simeone) Bovenzi; siblings, Isabelle DiCrasto, Alphonse Bovenzi, James Bovenzi, Anthony Bovenzi; Survived by siblings, Rachel Melito, Margaret Frosino, Phyllis Sinisgalli, Sammy (Marie) Bovenzi, Theresa Bovenzi; many, nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends. Joseph's visitation is 2-4 7-9 PM on Friday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). His funeral mass will be Saturday at Holy Apostles Church, 7 Austin St, Rochester. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel House, 288 Frisbee Hill Road Hilton, NY 14468 in Joseph's memory. Born on October 15, 1932, Joseph was a typical boy growing up in the Rochester area of Verona St, Jay St, Plymouth Ave. Joseph worked at a dairy store in his high school years and then worked for Phil's Auto Store until he finally found his way to the Monroe County Waterworks from where he eventually retired. Joseph was close to his family and loved family holidays. In his spare time, he enjoyed card playing, Bingo, and overall really enjoyed his retirement. He was a Buffalo Bills fan and liked watching Greys Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars on television. Family and friends would describe Joseph as someone who liked simple things, led a happy life, was content, outspoken, had a great sense of humor, liked staying close to home, was generous and honest. He will be greatly missed.
