Laura (Cervone) Bonarigo BATAVIA - July 31, 2019 at the age of 96. Laura is predeceased by her husband, John Bonar­igo. She is survived by her daughters, Rosalind (Donald) Krenzer Mi­chele (Ed) Pomeranz; grandchildren, Kimi (Paul) Pecorella, Rich­ard (Emilee) Secondino, Kelly Coughlin, Keara (Ryan) Sheppard; great-grandchildren, Kaili (Da­vid) Widrick, Kirstin (Mike Kellman) Pecorella, Gavin Secondino, Lennox Sheppard, McClain Sheppard; great-great-grandchild Declan Widrick; several nieces nephews. Laura's Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, August 6th, 10 AM at Ascension Roman Cath­olic Church, 15 Sumner St., Batavia, NY 14020, immediately followed by her entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to LeRoy Village Green, Sunshine Fund, 10 Munson St., LeRoy, NY 14482 in Laura's memory. Laura was born on April 15th 1923 to Amedeo Margaret Cervone in Batavia, NY. She attended and graduated from Batavia High School. Laura went on to marry John Bonarigo and they had two daughters, Rosalind and Michele. They were blessed in their later years to have and enjoy several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Laura worked at the Checkerboard Restaurant, where she was very dependable and helped out in every area of the restaurant. Her favorite music was Frank Sinatra and the Chrooners. During her free time, Laura liked to shop on QVC, play cards bingo with her girlfriends at the nursing home. She also loved to paint and do crafts. Her favorite sports teams were the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. Laura was described as a strong willed and sassy woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. Laura will be deeply missed and always fondly remembered by her loving family and friends.
