To Lou’s Family: What a wonderful collection of memories in the video. It is so well done. I was At McQuaid with him and we shared interests and physical size. If my memory serves me rightly, we might have been chosen first – just once – for a pickup football or basketball game, but then the lack of matching talent became evident. Your comments about Lou made it obvious that he led a very fruitful and productive life and left his family with a set of important values to carry on his legacy. I am sorry to know that Lou has passed on to a new life. Phil Yawman – McQuaid Jesuit 1958
Louis A Laurer …
He was so well described by his children …
– A good father to Joe, Lisa and David and a good family provider
– Devoted to his work at Eastman Kodak Company –
always the first to arrive at the office and the last to depart
– Husband to Mary
– Grandpa to Lauren, Jeremy and Courtney
– Great Grandpa to Holden and Rowen
– Friend to all … especially neighbors on Sharon Drive and in Fort Myers, Florida,
and Mary’s family members
– Easy to like
Louis was a man of few words. But the words that were a constant are the words we will all remember.
He never said goodbye without the closing, “I love you.”
And now, Louis, my big brother, a final goodbye. I love you, too!
