Mary Ann, or as I liked to call her, my dear Jalapeno, is someone I’ll never forget from my time as her therapist at MCH. She always spoke her mind, whether she was talking about our sessions or her plans for when she got home. She made sure we focused on what mattered to her, so we didn’t waste time. She once told me she would go up and down the stairs with one hand on the rail and keep the other free for things like grabbing the mail or a trash bag. She didn’t have to do those things, but she wanted to be ready just in case. And she was. She accomplished anything she set her mind to. It was truly an honor to know Mary Ann. I’m sure she will keep sharing her contagious smile and sassiness wherever she is.
Mary ann had a constant and special devotion to Saint Jude. She loved making cookies at Christmas and passing then out to family and friends. You had to know her, to know her sense of humor. She loved her sugar donuts and ice Capps from Hortons. But above all she loved her daughter and family and of course, her baby, Coco. I am going to miss her.
