It was a privilege to have known Max, even for a short time. From welcoming me as a fellow parishioner, to generously taking the time to show me around RIT, he was always kind and encouraging.
One message from him will stay with me forever. In his final email to me, he wrote:
“Things could be better but I am so glad that we’re in the hands of a loving God and He has the best planned for us… Continue to trust Christ.”
Those words, written during a difficult time in his own life, reveal the depth of his faith. Even while facing challenges, his concern was to encourage others to keep trusting the Lord.
Thank you, Max, for your kindness, your friendship, and your unwavering faith. By God’s grace, I will hold on to your words and continue to trust Christ. Until We See Again!!!
Max was always a consummate gentleman – and a great friend. We were classmates @ ETH – he was a tough scholastic competitor – very bright. The last several times we talked at reunion events, it always included Christ and faith topics, so we know where he is. Until we talk again, Max . . .
