  1. Marcia buckley Relation to Deceased: Niece It has been a long time since we have talked Uncle Bob….but I will remember the family gatherings….and see you on my parent’s porch… May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

  2. Jazmine M Hernandez Relation to Deceased: Step granddaughter My fondest memories of my grandfather was when he used to yell at me and my brothers and sisters telling us to grow up and act our own age. he would always seem to avoid me most of the time and everyone else would get into trouble. I remember that almost every morning he would come to my house when he drove and would i was always getting ready for school, first thing he would do is ask for a cup of coffee “Ma’ma” as he would call me, “can you please make me a cup of coffee? i love you sweet heart”. He was a great man and will always be missed and loved no matter what and will ALWAYS be in our hearts.

  3. fat boy Relation to Deceased: fatboy you will be missed alot i will always make a better door then a window. But giants will always be better then the vikings May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. An Old Irish Blessing

  4. Dan Beebe Relation to Deceased: fellow umpire Bob and I were teamed up to umpire a game at Sutherland HS. He was always punctual, so as I got ready in the parking lot, I wondered why he might be late. I then remembered that, at that time, he drove an older car that was quite noisy. When one of the assistant coaches walked by and asked if I had seen my partner, I simply replied, “No, but I think I hear him coming!” Right on cue, Bob came around the corner driving the loudest Toyota in all of Pittsford! Thanks for the great memories and for all your officiating service to our young athletes–you will be missed. The butterfly emerges from its silken shell- Reborn, it arises, no longer bound to earth. Free at last, the butterfly glides to heights unknown before. So do our loved ones find a beautiful release as, earthbound no more, they leave our sight and joyfully rise to a garden of matchless beauty, a place of light and peace. -Evelyn Phillips

  5. Chuck Healey Relation to Deceased: Fellow Umpire, Rochester District Umpires’ 1st VP Bob was a walking rule book. He knew the rules better than anyone and whenever i taught a clinic for the Rochester District Umpires’ Association I knew that Bob had my back if there was a question about the rules that came up in the discussions. Sometimes I got “corrected” when I had it wrong, but it was always better to have the guys get the right interpretation than a wrong one. I’m going to miss Bob and his “old style” umpires mask, but not his “old style ways” for he did his job with pride and by the book the right way. If there are umpires in heaven Bobs there for sure! Bob your “Safe at Home” this time! Safely Home I am home in Heaven dear ones: Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last. Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still; try to look beyond earth shadows, Pray to trust our Father’s will

Though you may wander sweeter lands, You will not forget my hands, Nor yet the way I held my head Nor the tremulous things I said.
